Depends on whether or not you have the velocity in your throws to fit the ball in...

Once upon a time, it was a focal point of the Saint's offense to make X number of deep throws every game. Regardless of whether or not you connect on them, you force the defense to cover the entire field. Even if you don't have legitimate threats, the defense can't afford to ignore it because only a couple big plays can change the game's outcome. I fully expect this to come back next year.

Depends on the execution, but I'd say it's likely a bad tendency right now.

There will be situations where Payton wants to go short or intermediate and Winston can't be out there chucking it deep because he "sees" something.

Brady faced the most Cover 2 & 2 man in the league last year in Arians offense. He was league worst vs cover 2 through their bye week until he figured it out

Winston was not good vs Cover 2 under Arians either. The first step to improvement is identifying what gives one trouble

I’ve already won three Super Bowls with Jameis as my starting QB in Madden, so I think we’re going to be okay.
