the giants might be the worst team to ever win a super bowl.
They were 9th in the league in scoring and 25th in scoring defense. It’s also the first time ever that the Super Bowl champions were outscored (400-394) during the regular season. They were 1 of 14 teams with a negative differential.

My guess is that they're showing highlights of the team that just won the super bowl?! I'm 100% sure it has NOTHING to do with the Saints.

Honestly a mix of the BCS and the NFL playoffs would be the best..

too decided by the media when you have just 2 teams in.

too many teams that can just get lucky when you have 12 teams in.

I like 6.

I would agree. 6 team play off, 3 from each conference. Winners of the regular season go to the conference championship automatically.

Obviously you are going to have issues where one division will be terrible and a good team will coast to the playoffs (NEW ENG) but I do not think there is any way to get rid of that happening.

ETA also better record always advances even if you didnt win your division.

green bay was on fire and continued all through this past season. if they werent very good? id love to know who was.
For real. They had a bad stretch in the 2010 season, but were not a bad team.

I can't agree with the notion that the Giants were a bad team that won. They were a very good team that played like shite for a few games during the regular season. Honestly, the Patriots looked outmatched at all positions. The Giants did not look like a bad team at all.

Also, Westwood 1 was interviewing Bradshaw righ after the Super Bowl and he let it slip that the team they wanted to win was the 49ers. He tried to retract and then I guess said "frick it" and said they didn't want to play us.

Seattle was actually the worst team last year. The Giants had home field against the falcons as well this year.
