Since we all know this is just intended to increase revenues AND television and streaming content revenues are where the big money is, why not simply add a bye week making the regular season 19 weeks long instead of 18 weeks long? This means an additional week of NFL product.

Teams get three bye weeks during the regular season instead of two bye weeks. Schedules could likely be done so teams get the Sunday off prior to their Thursday night game. Thanksgiving games might not work for this schedule, i.e. these games would continue as is.

I agree. Extra week of prime time. More market exposure. It’s a good solution for tv money.

You mean 2 instead of 1

Dump 4th pre-season add 2nd bye and this is good idea.

This has been done before in the 90’s and the majority of players/fans did not like it. The season seemed to drag along and it felt like it took forever to see your favorite team play again. Teams also seemed to lose their edge, and performed sluggishly after the extra time off. The only true benefit would be to give injured players extra time to heal.
