No. They are the Champs of the NFC East, North, South and West respectively saying other wise is either incorrect or misleading.

I don't see how you don't understand this. Maybe you are a visual learning type of person? Here's a venn diagram.

Does that help you?

what I understand is that you lost the redundancy debate several pages ago and have now shifted to semantics. and using odd examples where important modifiers are left out. Your graph only visually says what I already did. The Divisions are sub sets of the NFC, hence the Cowboys are NFC EAST champs, not NFC champs. So the Cowboys, Vikings, Saints and Cardinals are all DIVISION Champs, with in the NFC. Your graphic lists the important detail of the divisions, with out listing the divisions, your graphic is either incorrect or misleading.

While this has been fun I was close with this:

The statement The New Orleans Saints are NFC Conference champs is redundant. Why? Because we already know the NFC is a conference, so there is no further need to identify it as such. There is no need to avoid confusion with the Vikings, Cardinals or Cowboys who are all division champs with in the NFC. While saying the Cowboys, Vikings, Cardinals and Saints are all champs in the NFC, that is inaccurate without naming the divisions they are all champs of.

It was all about semantics ("The meaning or the interpretation of a word, sentence, or other language form") to begin with.

[NFC Conference][Champions] = redundant
[NFC][Conference Champions] = correct

You can only break an argument down so much until you hit the most basic forms of human interaction. I don't understand how much more I can simplify this for you.

So, you don't understand venn diagrams. The Dallas Cowboys are champions of the NFC; they're within the block. Champions OF the NFC and Champions IN the NFC (which you agreed to) mean the same thing! There are multiple functions of the word "of"--please familiarize yourself with them.

BUT THE WORD CONFERENCE IS NOT IDENTIFYING WHAT THE NFC IS. IT IS IDENTIFYING WHAT TYPE OF CHAMPION WE ARE.

I've said this so many times. I don't understand how you can't figure this out. Are you actually reading my posts or what?

My favorite teams are L State U and the New O Saints, and I prefer National CA Association football over the N Football L. I also drive fifty5 m per h in my S Utility V.
