Payton is just an awful play caller now. That's what the problem is with the offense. No routes downfield until 4th and 6. Bring Taysom Hill in and run the same play 4 times out of different formations, with it getting stuffed twice that drive on 2nd down taking the ball out of Brees hands in the redzone. Just fricking awful. The Saints will settle for more field goals than touchdowns until they get Thomas back, who can get separation on routes 5 yards or less.
