Someone who sits near me in the Dome said once that Pierre needs an easier name to chant for.
There really are alot of mouth breathers at the games.

I think Drew's stats are overrated. Considering being behind so much and just having to chunk the ball down field.
I like Drew now but I think he has even said something publicly about this.

I dont think Duece was overated. He was a good back for the Saints, if anything in our area he was probably overrated but of course we are Saints fans. Nationwide not overated. Id go with Archie Manning on most overated.
I know he was on some bad teams but come on. I saw an overaged Joe Montana take a terrible KC team almost to the Superbowl.
I will say this though, Ricky Williams talent wise was the best back in the league for 3 years. I think in his prime he is one of the top 5 backs Ive seen in the last 15 years. I remember a game in Miami when they had the lead and he single handedly ran 9 minutes off the clock carrying the ball on every play to win the game. I think he went 90 yards and ended up taking a knee on the 2.
Ricky was a beast!

Pierre Thomas could end up on here soon

That KC team was not terrible. Just off the top of my head, they had Marcus Allen, Derrick Thomas, Neil Smith, Dale Carter, Nick Lowery, and I think Will Shields.
Archie never had anywhere close to that kind of talent with the Saints.

Considering how many people wanted us to draft a RB in the first round thinking Pierre was not the answer, I'd say he's largely underrated.

tbt, really?
c'mon dude he was undrafted. his last eight games from last year alone, is already enough to say he's over achieving.

This season will determine if he's overrated or not, he gets a lot of love on this board. I really don't know if he can do what he did at the end of the season for an entire season

Sorry. But I gots to go with 'Gumbo' the dog. Never lived up to what they were payin him. Never got off the damn sideline. and was always sniffen around the cheerleaders....wait thats okay but he still was a lazy fat arse. FWIW.

IMO: All of the Saints Corner Backs in franchise history have been overrated to even wear a NFL uniform. I may have missed one or two good ones but the "good ones" were few and far between.

To speak ill of deuce is a sin period end of story. The guy was all heart. Just because his career was cut short by injurys does not make him overrated. The time he was healthy he was one of the best back in the league. He was a no nonsense rough and tough player. Its hard to find backs that are half the player he is. If you have any doubt about how important he was to the saints go back and watch the 2006 playoff game vs the eagles
