He’s horrible. Great voice, but he has no clue about football. At one point last weekend, on Carolina’s only TD, they crossed the goal line for a good 3 seconds then fumbled it (after scoring) and Mike went crazy saying the ball was loose.

Great voice? His voice is absolutely awful. Like another poster said it sounds like he always needs a drink of water. He's has a shitty voice and isn't knowledgeable. On top of all that when he does try to add excitement it's always so cringe.
Obviously I don't hear the other teams play by play guys but I'd be shocked if there was anyone even close to as bad as Hoss.

Agreed. I listen to WWL every afternoon on the way home, except on Friday when Deuce and Hoss are on. Can't stand to listen to him talk
