And when both Mahomes and Trubisky are starting, what will you say? I swear we have some hive minded, echo chambered people here. It's worse than the poli board.

You have those QB's starting cause they were picked in the first round?
Hive mind indeed.

No because they're better than anyone else on their respective roster. It's not hard to follow.
And even if that is what I thought, how the hell is that hive mind?

these guys are mid-round developmental QB prospects in a normal draft

And that's your opinion. I think both of them have starting potential and potential to be at least above average.
It all comes down to player evaluations.

I woulda swallow dat bullet and picked cam robinson a legit tackle minus the off field issues.. Or pocic in the second or third.. Way better players smh with way better competition
Posted on 4/28/17 at 10:39 am to BlackTiger89
we should just pick all LSU players.
the rant is nothing but cry baby bitches when their "Tigahs" don't get picked by the Saints

Well I think Cam is better than Ramcheck but his off the field stuff scares me. Pocic is light in the arse. He could fit at tackle but it would be a project

You guys are fricking miserable. Jesus christ. 2 gifs don't show the entire story. If I remember correctly, Mcdowell did nothing in that game. I remember this because I was watching the game. Didn't read thread but someone should dig his stat line up for the game I'll bet he didn't even have a 2-3 QB hurries and maybe 1-2 tackles in the entire game. He was a ghost other than those 2 plays.
Anyways, off to the picks. I wanted a pass rusher but I can't fault the Saints for taking who they did in the 1st. Both were value picks and probably the best at our draft slots. Lattimore was a top 10 in every mock I saw and Ramczyk was the top rated T and most mocks I saw had him in 1st. We got bitch slapped by the 2 teams drafting ahead of us. Saints probably would've got Foster if he was there but he wasn't. Strief is starting to fall off a cliff. RT is not the biggest need but it's definitely a need that was addressed with a future starter.
I believe the only reason Lattimore and Ramczyk dropped is teams have concerns about their medical history. Lattimore gets a ton of small nagging injuries like hamstrings. R had hip surgery. Both players were only 1 year starters. That's something else that likely made their stock drop for some teams. Not enough film to decipher enough weaknesses on them which is definitely a major issue that turned teams off Lattimore. Could be that he's just that good and doesn't have many weaknesses at all. I'd give Lattimore a B+ and R a B- grade. Both great value picks. Lattimore would be an A if he didn't have the injury issues which is exactly the problem we have at CB right now. I also see it as a B+ because he's a CB which is one of the deepest positions in the draft. Felt like getting someone like Barnett was better suited in this slot even if Lattimore was slightly better value since we could've probably got a CB in 2nd that would feel like a 1st rounder. I can't fault them for drafting him though. Some mocks had him as a top 5 talent.
I don't have a problem with BPA philosophy especially when both players filled needs. RT is definitely a need even if we already have a starter there. It's just not as big of a need as other positions right now.

I don't see Cam getting to the second level in run blocking like Ramczyk can and it seems that is what the FO valued highly.
Posted on 4/28/17 at 10:52 am to goatmilker
Ramczyk can do it but doesn't have the strength to finish blocks. He can run, sure, and that helps him get to the linebackers, but he (from what I've seen) can be overpowered by DL and LBs can shed his blocks. Not to mention that his kick set is all kinds of fricked up and he'll get beat by any outside rusher with a pulse.
Lamp is better than both of them.
ETA: but if he's on the bench I guess they don't have to worry about that

peat wasn't a good pick
we're lucky that he's serviceable at OG, though,so it's not a total bust

I understand da picks but... There was good value at o-line in the 2nd rd.. Especially the kid from vandy.. But if u tell us defense is top priority.. Then i want a defensive stud like a foster on my roster.. I would have traded up a spot for talent like that... He doesnt attack women.. And isnt being investigated so as far as off field issues i saw none with way more upside and value

He's going to be a good OG for years. Considering how shitty we have drafted, any guy that can start for us at an even average level for 4+ years is a major win.
