the only reason why you guys are so pissy is because you know i am right but you still think we will win the superbowl the following year....... last year we had a crappy schedule and went 8-8..

do you actually watch brees study and work hard or do you take someone else's word for it?
there are only 32 starting qbs in the nfl, and they are most making multi million dollar contracts. if they arent studying and working hard, they wouldn't be a starting qb in the nfl.
bottom line is, no one gave a football reason other than the reasons you gave, which one would hope any team says about their qb.. if we go 8-8 again, this board will find a way not to blame it on him.. its def not his fault he makes bad decisions

Jay Cutler 6'3" 233 25 years old
A lot of people would like a good ole SEC qb with the saints but still Drew is our man and he is better than Jay IMO. Even with the size difference I wouldn't give up Brees.

We have the #1 offense with Brees behind the wheel. If our defense can't put away a team when we have 30+ points on the board then thats there fault...not Brees' fault. Cutler is good, but to say him and Marshall are better than Brees and lets say Colston...then you're sadly mistakin.

Cutler is a top 5 QB IMO, but that doesn't mean you trade your top 2 QB for him. Brees runs this system superbly, and there's nothing gained by making this trade you suggest. Marshall is another Moss, great talent but terrible person. You can't rely on him. I would only think about agreeing on a trade like this if we were to get Cutler, Baily and Williams, and I would still probably turn it down.
This trade is like taking Dodge Viper and replacing the engine....

matt cassel rarely threw the ball further than 10yds, and he had the luxery of throwing to Moss and Welker. Plus, in watching him play, he didn't look great. They gave him a conservative, easy offense to run, and his supporting cast made him look good. Brady's first 6 seasons were without Moss and Welker, and I firmly believe that the system makes those QB's look better than they actually are.
