Let's play Hypothetical Situation...

If you were Mickey Loomis and you could only make one more "Viable" transaction to put The Saints over the top what would it be? Either a trade or signing a certain guy who is still a free agent.
I think I would make a trade for Osi. I know he is not happy with his current situation and wants a good contract but in GW's system you can never have enough pass rushers and CB's. It would all depend on what we would have to give up but if we could give him an incentive based contract with only giving up like a 4th round pick, that would be Tops IMO. Will Smith is going to miss 4 games and with J.G. hopefully coming into his own hopefully, we would have 4 DE's capable of all being on the field at any point in the game. I know we got Romeus and McBride now too but how could we pass a guy like Osi up if we had a shot at getting him.
What would be the one move you would make?
Also, for those thinking about saying we should lock up Nicks long term, I think it's great but we already have him under contract this year so he should not be mentioned.

trade for desean jackson... although we dont really have anything to trade for him and we dont have a first in the next draft.

Saints still to do list IMO:
Sign a backup TE. I like David Thomas a lot but I'd love him even more if he was 3rd on our depth chart. Saints use a lot of 2 tight end sets and we need a tight end with better blocking skills for our new and improved run game.
I'm still a little worried about our depth at DT? Who is going to be our big rotational guys off the bench to relieve Rogers and Ellis or even if they get injured.
Call me crazy but I think we can do better than Chase Daniel as our backup qb but with that said, yes we'd be up shits creek without drew but if drew had a short term injury... Chase might be ok, but can't we find someone better than OK? Take note of how profitable the eagles have been with acquiring and shipping off backup qb's. It pays dividends for them all the while they have a great backup waiting in the wings.

Wow, I shite you not buddy. I happened to request reinstatement via email today and I didn't even see that thread at all on the OT before I did so. Just a coincidence that I requested today same time chicken opened up the doors and probably was already reinstated and didn't even know about it.
