Here’s some takeaways we learned today. Im going to save us the obligatory migraine and not even address the antiquated, aged old offensive system we run:
- a team built on a “top 5” defense has absolutely no ability to generate a consistent pass rush
- we have the worst offensive line in the league
- first round pick from last year (we traded him for Jalen Carter), alleged franchise LT, is a total bust and cannot be put on the field
- our other first round pick from last year has shown questionable Effort
- horrific red zone offense
- we would be 0-6 without a former UDFA DE from Wyoming
- we finished the game with exactly 1 offensive lineman playing the position he was playing when the game started

Perhaps the biggest malpractice today (there were many) was the decision to activate Andrus peat. We lost 2 lineman today and he still didn’t see the field. Why was he activated? Before you tell me he was an emergency lineman, we ended the game player Cesar Ruiz at RT, who has 0 career snaps at tackle. What is a bigger emergency than that? Please stop blaming carr for the final drive when his right side of the OL is a guy with 0 career snaps at the position and a rookie from old dominion.

This team simply cannot “control” a game. We show flashes of a good drive, or piece together a sack, but we simply cannot take control of a game. Not like we’ve been playing the 72 dolphins either. Instead, we force fed an UDFA converted TE who was a QB 2 years ago. The 7 penalties were a nice touch as well.
