That’s pretty stupid.
You hire the best person for the job that you can regardless of who they happen to have coached with.
Last time I checked CSP turned around a comical franchise with an albatross QB contract and have them a playoff team in 2 seasons.
Yea New Orleans wouldn’t need anyone like that.

He helped put the roster in the shape it was as they kept kicking the cap can down the road, then he bolted when things got hard without Brees. Wake me when he gets back to a Super Bowl considering he could t get to another with a HOF QB in his prime.
Furthermore, now that Loomis has all of his personnel power back in the wake of Payton’s departure, he isn’t giving it back. So the coach doesn’t really matter as long as Loomis is making the football decisions. Ideally, I don’t want anyone with ties to Loomis because we’ve seen the Dennis Allen puppet show. And Loomis would be gone under a real owner.
Buckle up for a long road ahead.
