Is Amendola and Hightower out for the Patriots this week? I live in Massachusetts and they haven't practiced.

Whether or not they practice on Thursday is usually the telling hint. I know Hightower didn't practice Wednesday.

Hightower is one of the few guys that they'll let play regardless if he's practiced or not. Still more likely than not that he doesn't play. Harvey Langi just started practicing again, could help fill the role if he does miss the game, he's an UDFA that the Pats are very high on
I'm like 95 percent sure Amendola isn't playing. And probably won't play for a couple weeks. They aren't going to rush him back.

Yeah I'd be surprised if Amendola played. I think they are going to try Hogan or Cooks in the slot receiver role.

It'll be hogan in the slot. Which is what the original plan was until Mitchell was IRd I believe. There's no way they planned for Amendola to have that big of a role in week 1
