That sure as shite was a fumble. If they want to end the play after forward progress, half of Latavius’s runs should be flag.

I couldn't believe they called forward progress on that shite. No fn way. One on one and the guy was still fighting for yards and to get out of bounds.

I’m more impressed that after that horrible call, the defense kept it together.

I mean play stops on a whistle.
Whistle never came up in the debate.
I mean if the guy breaks the tackle before a whistle would they have brought it back?
No whistle equals fumble.
If forward progress stopped there should have been a whistle.

Even if forward progress was called, why was game clock stoped ? Clock started at snap. Nobody called TO.

Exactly. If forward progress isn’t a reviewable play then it certainly isn’t a okay that can be retroactively ruled by officials, either.
Where was the whistle on the play?

That was a completely asinine call. If the TE broke free from Davis instead of fumbling there wouldn't be a chance in hell they blow it dead and said his forward progress was stopped.

Horrible call and another clear example of NFL interfering with the outcomes of games. Then the broadcast ref just carries their water for them.

In high school sports, the play itself is what ends a play not a "whistle". With that said, it was a horrible call to say the progress was stopped without a whistle happening immediately with it.
