Lol that’s how I had to frame the question. I just posed the question “would you rather Carr or Baker” and look at all the negative feed back from the facepainters. Imagine had I endorsed him even more than that

And no I don’t have a crystal ball that knew Baker would be elite, but I knew he was obviously a better value and he had more upside than Carr. I’ve made plenty of arguments as to why Carr is a low upside game managing QB and a waste of time and money.

But that’s the whole point. Y’all don’t want to have objective football conversations. Just bullshite on each other and live in who dat La La land

A cheap QB and a rebuild was the answer to getting Carr. I ran a weekly poll to fire DA.

Two deadly things were wrong with DA. He was not smart enough to be a head coach and he lacked stones.

I'll be honest, I only saw him vs Chargers. He singlehandedly gave that game away. His combined stats look pedestrian because of that, but I see what you mean about the other two games being good performances on paper.

No, the whole point of this thread is some rando GM wannabe claiming he knew Baker Mayfield and Daniel Jones were going to be a better than David Carr before the rest of us dummies. Obviously, at this point we all agree that signing Carr was a mistake. I just don't like people claiming they "knew it all along" like you and OP. Not buying it.

Daniel Jones signed with Indy on the first day of free agency, before Carr retired. He was never an option. People need to stop bringing him up.

I agree with this statement, but to High Life’s credit, if he was not the conductor of the Carr signing hate, he was definitely sitting in the first car
