What's wrong? Alex Smith did not autograph your 8X 10 glossy of him yet that you mailed to him? maybe he is out of sharpies for now. now run along.

I'm not really arguing with anyone. I'm just personally a little disgusted by the Saints fans both here and on facebook that are demonizing Goodell but not Sean Payton. He is the one responsible for the suspension and he put himself and his franchise in that situation with his behavior.

you're just not getting it

It's a shame that you can't discuss this like an adult without having to resort to this kind of thing.

Sean Payton's arrogant "frick everyone" attitude helped get us a superbowl.
Then it fricked us for this year.

Given the option, I'd keep that attitude in spite of the drawbacks.
The superbowl was worth it.

nuh uh..you aren't. so i'm going to try to explain it to you.

Saints know the coaching staff f'd up. We know they should be punished and basically agree with the punishments. Except we think that Paytons is a little excessive. Is that so outrageous?? No...so STFU

Saints fans are over there too doing the same shite.

It reminds me of the whole Edwin Edwards "dead girl or live boy thing". You'll literally support Payton regardless of his behavior up until that point. It's a big part of what's wrong with the state of Louisiana, a state i have a lot of fondness for, and it's really frustrating. Hold people accountable for their actions for a change and maybe we wouldn't be 49th or 50th in everything except football.

i think almost every single person has said we deserved punishment but this was excessive.

You are looking at us with the similar blinders on

I disagree simply because the patriots got caught cheating and received much, much less punishment. IMHO that is a much more serious action than a couple of guys offering rewards for hitting people, something they would do anyway.

I don't this the Pats lied to the commishoners face either. So you think videotaping some practice is worse than potentially ending ones career?

So they sent an email to the NFL before said illegal filming commenced? At least ESPN knew beforehand, right? Awesome.

so they told Goodell they were video taping other teams?

No you morons, when the NFL came inquiring, the Patriots didn't deny it and fully cooperated in the investigation..

Definitely not, but it's a general attitude I've noticed in Louisiana that doesn't exist other places, it's really detrimental and it's showing itself in this situation, by making Goodell the bad guy.

When the 49ers cheated the cap in 1999-2000, Dwight Clark and Carmen Policy (two people who meant as least as much or more to the 49ers than Payton does to the Saints) were told to resign. There was no outcry because the fan base understood who the perpetrators were.

He plead guilty to a reduced charge DUI Manslaughter. If that was an average citizen he would not have been offered a plea and would have been charged with 2nd degree murder, which would have been appropriate. Take your holier than thou bullshite somewhere else.
