I'm just saying it wasn't "dumb" . The refs said incomplete so the players took that as incomplete. It was kind of anomaly you can't really fault them that bad

The refs are often wrong. That's why you go after every loose ball. That cost the eagles 3 points and possibly the game.

I agree . Refs screwed that up. Wish eagles had gotten on the ball.

then you pick the ball up and hand it to the official for this very reason

how many times do we have sound bites of defensive coaches yelling about getting every loose ball... for reasons like this b/c you just never know

Yea, we see defensive players pick up and run with obvious incomplete passes every week
