No Saints team has ever gone 13-0.
No Saints team has ever had the chance to lose three games in a row at the end of the season and still get the #1 Seed.
Hell, how many Saints team have had the #1 Seed?
I mean let's get specific here.
No team has ever lost to the Saints in week 5 and gone 8-8 and been eliminated from the Playoffs...
That losing last 3 games thing is way too specific and doesn't mean anything. I guess we should have played our hearts out and gone 14-2 and somehow got momentum that were gonna probably lose in the Bye week anyway-all while putting Drew Brees in harms way. I'm not saying that theres a large chance of it happening. But if it does happen, you just took the greatest single-season record the Saints ever had, with a #1 Seed, and huge Superbowl hopes, and completely ruined everything. Because if we lose Brees, were done.

I say it was a smart move because we're 13-3, we're #1 Seed, we have a Bye week to get things together, and then we get to go out and show who we are. Momentum doesn't mean anything right now.
We're back to 0-0.
