Jenkins moved to strong

That would be a disaster. The one redeeming quality Harper has, is his ability to tackle. Jenkins was on pace last year before he got hurt to have the most missed tackles in an NFL season, so moving him to SS would be a terrible mistake.

Yes. Harper is very effective in the box. Everyone knows he can't cover. I think Jenkins has all of the tools. He just needs to be shown the light. He can cover, he is big and strong and quick. He has regressed the last 2 seasons. I hope Rob can light a fire under him.

Jenkins is barely 6 foot. he isn't big nor strong and the only thing Harper can do is be effective in the box. Honestly, I don't know how you people can say the safety positions are alright, these two guys are terrible. harper should be cut with what he makes.

Roman is one of the best SS in the game.

I'm glad someone finally realized the truth.

Agreed.

Disagree. There is no point of doing that right now, being that it would only save us $1 mil, and we would still need to pay someone to take his spot. Might as well keep him, until it makes more sense financially to cut him.

If we shore up the front 7 with pass-rushers, then the secondary can manage. I don't think management is necessarily satisfied with our safeties, but it's too soon to move on from Jenkins, and cutting Harper wouldn't save enough space. IAQ is a player who really stepped up last season and could force his way into a starting role if he continues to do a great job patrolling center field. Next season, though, things could be very different.

In addition to what I've already said I'll add two things.

First is that Harper is very cuttable next year as he will only stay on the cap for $1.75 mil and has a $7.9 mil cap figure. If you saw how bad off we might be next year cap wise we pretty much have to cut him unless he takes a pay cut.

Second is that I think moving White to saftey would be a mistake just like it looks like moving Jenkins was. Both started slow their rookie year but played well come the end of the season. He has a future at corner just like Jenkins did.

We moved him out of desparation and to get our best players on the field. Only problem is Jenkins was a good player at corner. We should have tried to get a real free safety.

We have other options at safety and can get more if needed. Let's not make the same exact mistake twice
