3-4 LBs are sometimes actually asked to do less, they typically fit a specific role and do that thing. 4-3 LBs are usually required to be much more versatile, so a lot of times its actually harder to find 3 decent 4-3 LBs than 4 decent 3-4 LBs.
We have some pieces to make it work. Obviously, we would need more. We would not have enough big bodies at DL, we would need more depth there.
Also, we would certainly need to see if any of our guys like Junior or Charleston can play stand up ROLB/LOLB.
If guys like Greg Ellis or Mario Williams at 300pounds can do it, we can probably find some guys that are smaller to man the positions.
We'll see I guess.

Mike Nolan please, Spags had amazing D-line talent and we have none. Nolan has also notably done more with less. Not flaming Spags at all, but he would want some money thrown at some serious talent and thats better used at signing Nicks, Brees, and Colston.

thanks for helping get over the hump in 09 but I'm glad to see him go.
That's the way I look at it- I didn't expect a Top 10 defense this year, but two years running we were very porous, and after Saturday's game, enough was enough. Change was due...

No problems with Spags. Nolan, as I recall, was a 3-4 guy. Interesting if that took place. Vilma still had some good years in NY in the 3-4. 130+ tackles and such. Honestly, Williams asked too much of them. Too many packages. I'm not sold on Del Rio. I think they need a proven commodity and to not have to rebuild too much. They are ready to win now. Wade Phillips made a big impact in 1 year changing Houston to a 3-4.
I must admit, I'm a hit excited at this unfolding. The search should be fun. I'm sure this will be a sought after job.
