The offensive team cannot advance any fumble inside of 2 minutes

It's one of those things where I feel ike sometimes they change the entire game because of one or two freak plays. But it is a very very stupid rule.
But they dont want people to be almost tackled and kind of toss the ball forward for a teammate though it looks like a fumble or some shite.

I think the rule was eventually changed to account for such freak plays as the Holy Roller play with the Oakland Raiders and the San Diego Chargers. This is a legit freak play.

A personal foul can't be ignored when seen. At any time.

Fumble on punt return
Can you call a facemask on someone after the play is dead?
Pretty sure the NFL frowns upon facemasking between plays, too.

If Snead recovered it and the Giants stripped the ball again, it would have been their ball (less 15 yards for facemask).
I think once the face mask occurred there was nothing the Giants could do unless the Saints committed a penalty.
So in other words, even if Snead fumbled and the Giants recovered, the face mask penalty would negate the Snead fumble, Saints ball + 15. If time expired, the game can't end on a defensive penalty.

Only if before they recovered. Play is dead once snead has possession
