How about a Super Bowl win

I'm so sick sick of hearing people say this. The whole point of making the playoffs is to make it to the Super Bowl, not to simply say "hey we made the playoffs".

Only once has a team limped into the playoffs as and actually made the SuperBowl in recent history in last years Cardinals. The rest have been teams on hot streaks.

Notice one thing about top teams struggling at the end of the season for whatever reason:

2008 Tennessee (finished season 3-3) and one and done losing at home.

2007 Cowboys (started 12-1 and finised 1-2) only to lose in the divisional playoffs to a #5 seed that was HOT going into the playoffs in NYG losing at home.

2005 Colts (started 13-0 and finished 13-3) and one and done. Lost at home.

2003 Chiefs (started 11-1 and finished 2-2) and went one and done despite getting a bye. Lost at home.

your right. I heard Payton and the boys went to to Bourbon after thoughand then played golf all day today. I'd be worried if I were you.

I was speaking to and of the OP, not the coaches and/or players.

But I'm glad you were able to get that zinger in there.

this has nothing to do with it..we were up 17-0

And the team blew it. I think it would have a little bit to do with it at least.

broskie, i shake the haters, i think its funny, cause when we win, they will be like, "i love this team", "i never doubted for a minute", seen it before, seen it since our last 10 win season..

Some of you are like this pic:

The problems can be corrected because they are a good team, but aren't playing good ball right now. You can't deny that fact.

Why, just because I see the problems and point them out? I'm sorry if I'm not a rah rah rah the Saints are #1 type of guy. Just because someone is critical of the team doesn't make them any less of a fan. In fact, one could argue quite the opposite.

i love your optimism, but if you watched these last 4-5 games there's no way you can say that you're not a little worried heading into the playoffs...with that being said, when greer comes back -which will be this week- i believe that our defense will play much better bc williams has more trust in greer and porter in man to man coverage...therefore we'll be able to bring more pressure with the linebackers and get more pressure on the qb and make him throw before he wants ie: weeks 1-8

+1...couldn't have said it better myself

The people with their heads in the sand are really the bandwagon fans. They have no concept of history because they just started following the Saints or even NFL football this year. They're covering up their bandwagoness with blind delusionism.

now we start making some sense, cause with greer and porter there, it frees up sharper to not be in a cover set and go back to his old FREE FLOATING DAYS, which got him the INT RECORD EARLY ON
