My educated guess is she comitted suicide.

Definitely not confirmed, but there are rumors that it was suicide.

Speaking on condition of anonymity a security officer at the Serratoth Island holding facility noted that Mina Brees arrival was "of the nature of a suicide."

How in the world did Drew turn out to be such an awesome guy if he has a mother like this? I'm assuming he was raised by someone else and they did a great job.

tylercsbn9, not a cool statement. She obviously had some problems (like the rest of us), but she was not crazy. She has a lot of friends and supporters in Austin, and she did some great things for the community. Also, it is my understanding (based on information from people who were close to her) that her rift with Drew was recent. Based on what I know, she was a good mother, so it is no surprise that Drew and his brother turned out well.
