The inability for Brees to make the tough intermediate throws will cost this team a super bowl. He's going to kill Kamara for a one yard pass.

Hopefully Saints take a hard look at Kirk Cousin after this game and make a 20-something QB the future of the franchise when FA rolls around. He's no worse than Brees is right now and could have potentially a higher ceiling.

I'm not going to lie though, WRs for Saints honestly are shite tier. It's definitely not all on Brees. He has absolutely no help outside Thomas and his RBs. The TEs are useless, Coleman needs to be cut because he'll always be soft as tissue paper, Sneeze has disappeared this year and Ginn is way past his prime.

Get rid of the 2nd rated QB in the game this season for the ok QB...Brilliant!!!

I'm willing to bet you never even watched Cousins play before this game. Since he has took over for Redskins he has put up some pretty amazing stats the past several seasons. He's young and might not even be at his prime right now. The only major knock on him is he seems to shite the bed in the big game but that's honestly unfair if you watch his games. I've seen several games where WRs will lose him a game with a clutch TD pass they drop or something like that. He's definitely no worse than an almost 40-year-old Brees so yes, if you honestly care about the future of the franchise winning rather than developing a QB that's hit or miss you get Cousins in FA. They're going to pay out of the arse for Brees anyway and father time is going to hit him all at once any day now.

He sure looks good in this "big game" making the Saints defense look like the old 32nd ranked defense regardless of injuries or not. Redskins have a lot of injuries too doesn't seem to be hurting them.

Cousins is better than Brees at this point. Anyone with a pair of eyes and half a brain can see that watching a football game. Brees cannot make every throw

The expiration date has come and gone for whatever magic that surgeon performed on his shoulder.

I'm willing to bet you never even watched Cousins play before this gameIronic coming from the guy who thinks Cousins is as good as the 2nd best QB in the game this season(3rd if we count a healthy Rodgers) and also thinks Cousins ceiling is as high as a top 5 QB of all time.

Follow any advanced metrics site, any one, they'll tell you over the last 3 or so seasons his numbers are inflated because his WRs make him look better than he is. Every site will tell you that...the guys actually watching the film and putting in the time, not you and I who watch Redzone and a handfull of Cousins games each season.

He 100% definitely is worse than Brees this season.

Sure, if I'm content with 5 years of mediocrity going forward.

Except for the guys who actually do watch teh film, who all disagree with you.

Also, Brees this season has a higher TD%, same INT% and better YPA.

ANYONE WITH A PAIR OF EYES!!!

You haven't watched a single game from the Redskins this year. Almost his entire offensive line was hurt most of this season.

Uh huh. He's so much worse than Brees he has a better QBR than him right now with a team that has been unlucky with injuries.

LINK

Cousins is 7th in QBR in the NFL. Pretty damn good. He has been right behind Brees the past few seasons in almost every statistic too and he's still in his 20s. But okay then he's much worse than Brees.

Name me all the advanced metrics sites that have Cousins ahead of Brees. Go!

Brees is generally at #2.

I also don't know anyone who takes this stuff seriously that puts any stock in QBR, so there's that too.

Keep on keepin on though!!!

No, you mean people like you where it doesn't fit their made up narrative. QBR is a measure on a QB's efficiency. He's more efficient than Drew Brees is right now this season and he's dominating this game that Brees is shitting the bed in. Although, to be fair, it's not all on Brees. His line isn't doing great and his WRs have been kinda shitty all year in consistency.

No, people like virtually everywhere. You rarely hear about that metric any more, and you say sites like PFF used wayyyyyyy more. YOu can argue that fact if you like, but we both know which one is more widely recognized if you put any research at all into this stuff.

Case Keenum has a higher QBR this season than Tom Brady.

You think Keenum is more efficent despite a lower TD%, INT%, completion%, YPA...and so on and so forth without even getting into the metrics incorporated into advanced grades.

I rest my case.
