Wrap his legs up while he's airborne and it's over. That play is made at least 10 times in every football game on all levels.

Easy tackle.

That's either the worst attempt ever or he had no intention on making the stop. Saints should have won

Yep

I don't necessarily disagree with that the coverage was bad but nonetheless the player was in perfect position to make what should have been an easy play to end the game. He just didn't make the play.

Props to Diggs for staying in bounds, as opposed to following his basic instinct to go to the sideline as soon as he caught it.

All he had to do was undercut his legs while he was in the air and he falls inbounds but he ducked like an idiot, allowed the WR to fall on his feet and score. And closed the chapter to another epic letdown in the playoffs. Basically took a dump on all of Brees' hard work.

No reason for him to go out of bounds after your idiot safety completely whiffed on the tackle and suddenly there is no one around you and nothing but green on the way to the end zone. Listen, people can argue about this til they drop dead, and even Williams himself still doesn't get it because he was telling reporters he has to make a better play on the ball. Forget making a play on the ball, you were late getting there to knock it away, but all you had to do was catch Diggs in midair before he came down and throw him to the ground, the clock continues while they try to scramble on field for a FG and the game is over.

I mean I just don't get some of these guys, you've played this game your whole life since you were a kid. I did since the age of 5 and as a HS player could have made that tackle, but they make such boneheaded mistakes in the heat of the game it frustrates the hell out of you. If they aren't running with a WR and holding on to his jersey all the way down the field it's something else that's totally dumbass that leaves you screaming at the TV. I played DB all the way up to college and it's frustrates me to see them not turn their head around when a pass is right over their head because they're so busy watching the damn receiver all the way down the field. I'm tired of talking about this shite, this is a really desperado, lonely feeling of frustration.
