Even if Williams makes solid contact, Diggs had 3 seconds to get out of bounds.

Vikes kick FG and win anyway.

He caught it pretty well in-bounds.

If Williams goes for the hit, he either brings him down sideways or keeps him in bounds long enough for Crawley to help.

Literally, anything besides what Williams did would have been better.

1. If Williams makes contact, there's no chance he gets out of bounds.

2. Lol at you thinking a 50 yard FG is automatic.

No. Williams makes the basic tackle, Diggs is down inbounds and clock runs out.

you do remember the Vikings were out of timeouts, correct?

and there's a very small chance Diggs gets out of bounds if Williams wraps him up

Williams’ whole body went between him and the sideline and he still missed the guy by 2 ft.

Williams had to run a long way to get there.

Diggs had 3 seconds to get out of bounds.

Just saying.

Yes, watching the replay he would have gotten out of bounds with time left. Harder to time that perfectly and keep him in bounds than people think. Players usually get out of bounds on sideline plays when the want to.

Assuming he gets out of bounds, even if he does you make the tackle and at least give yourself a chance to block the kick. You however do not put your head down and dive at his feet that it just amateur.

He would have been tackled in bounds.

Right. But Diggs caught the ball with 4 seconds left. I thought in real time he would head straight for the sideline.

People keep playing the specific result and fail to realize how bad that defense was.

The sideline was wide open. Keenum bailed us out with that throw being that far in bounds.

Huh?

Diggs was jumping 4 feet in the air, he had zero chance to have any say in making a move to get out of bounds.

Williams was in great position to easily make a play but didn't.

Not sure what you're talking about, to be honest.

I think he would have dove out. Seen it too many times. Even though he did jump. Those guys are athletic freaks

It was a terrible play of course, but Diggs had a real shot at getting out of bounds if you watch the replay.

He jumped really high and Williams was in great position to hit him before he even landed, how exactly would he have head straight for the sideline if Williams played it better and hit him likely before he even landed?
