He signed for dirt cheap last year before tearing his Achilles and you think he’s worth 5 mil a year?

Yes.

One of two things will happen:

1) He will get paid 3-5 mil for one season

—or—

2) He won’t play.

re: Dez Bryant IG - Video of him running
So why didnt teams offer that pre injury?

You are overestimating his market

So... more than twice what he was offered pre-injury?

Rooting for him to get another shot with us but the amount of young talent we have won’t help his case at all.. Dez to the XFL is the best overall deal tho for everyone

Dez won’t play for less than 3 mil.

So...

He probably won’t play.

He’ll end up playing somewhere, but it won’t be New Orleans. One team will offer him a $5 mil/yr deal, and that’s where he will play.

So he is now more valuable after tearing his Achilles?

re: Dez Bryant IG - Video of him running
Because nobody would sign him for what he wanted or even cared to extend him an offer...

You are saying he won't play for less than 3 million but he's already proved he will do it for much less. I don't understand why you think he will now be expecting even more to sign coming off a major injury at his age

No that's wrong. I thought that too but they made a deal for 1.25 for the year then pro-rated his fee for the number of games remaining, So he got 600K total.

1.25 is the ceiling for what he can realistically make this season.

Regardless, Dez will not be a Saint in 2019.

re: Dez Bryant IG - Video of him running
That we can agree on. If he just wants to play football for one more year at next to nothing, I hope he’s a saint. But we would be crazy to pay him anything
