Ricky Who?

ETA: I assume you mean Ricky Jackson (just came to mind), because I KNOW you don't mean Ricky Williams!

Of course I meant Rickey Jackson. Sadly, I left out the "e". Also, I love Drew Brees, but he has not captured the hearts of New Orleanians like Deuce has, this is not up for argument. Deuce put us on his back in that Eagles game and carried us to the NFC championship game. Number 26 in your programs number 1 in your hearts...

You think Reggie can do half the stuff Deuce did you have lost your mind. I realize Reggie won the Heisman and blah blah blah. Look at the team he was playing with they are always in the National spot light. Deuce put up great numbers at Ole Miss. He also never hesitates to do for us the university. Stand up person great all around player. It's a very sad day for the Saints. Reggie is not the running back they are needing either.
That being said I imagine Deuce would be a great running backs coach.

My favorite Rebel of all time, there was nothing that would keep you on the edge of your seat more than watching Deuce McAllister running the ball

and chad you use to be a respectable poster in my mind. this thread was about giving praise to deuce and what he did for the team and you come in and start talking about deuce..... now how the frick do you do something like that..... either you're immature or stupid.... im really confused on which one at this point.... theres always going to be that next guy we can count on, its now drew, but for while it was deuce..... don compare qb stats to rb stats it makes you look football incompetent.... i cant believe sfp didnt jump yuor arse for that being he is a stats homo

I still am a respectable poster. I have said Deuce has been a class act through it all. He has been a good RB for us and had 2 great years. INjuries really took away from his career. Even though he is our leading franchise RB, 6,000 yards in 8 years isn't like an awe jaw dropping accomplishment for the NFL. I have enjoyed deuce here but I just think some have taken this to a new level. I don't think he's the best Saint ever and I (prematurely in some others opinions) already think Drew has passed Deuce up in what he's done in 3 years.

So what exactly do you want to blast me on and I'll be glad to discuss it with you?

I don't know but out of curiousity, what records are these exactly?

And how many all time franchise records does Archie hold?

How do you really compare a QB to a RB. IMO a good RB and QB help each other out..RB take pressure off a QB and vice versa

In ways you can't and i'm not necessarily advocating that. But to the contrary, I think most that were claiming Deuce to be the greatest saint of all time, those guys specifically had the likes of Archie Manning and Rickey Jackson and Willie Roafs and Morten Andersen's in mind. Maybe we can ask them too how we compare that.

But if we want to agree on something, Deuce is the greatest RB saint of all time. I agree with that (at least for now)

Dude, you're Saints knowledge blows!

Archie holds 1 all time record:

He's got the most passing yards for a Saint (21,734) and he's only like 2000 yards ahead of Brooks if I recall.

He's got 2 records actually...if you count the most int's for a Saints QB.

his TD/Int ratio is really bad (115/156)

How come qb's don't apply to that record?

I think he holds a few Saints records:

(55) Career Touchdowns
(6,096) Rushing Yards
(1,429) Rushing Attempts
(49) Rushing Touchdowns
(27) 100 yard rushing games
(9) Single Season 100 yd rushing games (tie)
(4) 1,000 yard rushing seasons
(330) Points by a non kicker
(13) Single season tds (tie)
(2,157) Single Season Yards from Scrimmage
(237) Single game yards from scrimmage

Not impressive to Chad, but I'm sure the rest of the Who Dat Nation will miss seeing him on Sundays.

He is also in the NFL record books at 3rd place for most consecutive games with 100 or more yards rushing. 9 games straight (2003) NFL record book, not just the Saints team records.
