What a difference a year makes.
If there is a unit that we all know can and will put it together it's this Saints offense. I'm encouraged by these stats!!

This.
They have looked abysmal, but if you remember the beginning of the 2011 season we were in pretty much the exact same kind of funk. Turns out it was Olin Kreutz sabotaging our O-Line....but still. Sean Payton will get the machine running again.

Offense will come together. As soon as they realize that Ingram is a hindrance to it and when Drew takes his linemen out for steaks and makes them pay.

Although the offensive line is probably the weakest in the Payton Brees era ......
We must understand that The Saints played against probably the second best if not the best secondary in football. Not only do they have outstanding talent but Goldston and Barron are absolute bruisers. They surrendered nothing to Brees over the top and played a lot of zone coverage. We will not see secondaries this talented every single week.
Here's to a good week of practice and a lot of film study for the coaching staff as this game should be used as a teaching moment for Payton and company on how you should always take what your opponent gives you and don't force things that are not there . .... Also a moment that shows to never underestimate the heart of a champion in clutch situations

I'm legitimately worried that Payton will never give PT and Sproles the number of carries they need to have an effective running game. I'd like to see Robinson get on the field as well.

Want to know something really nice?
if drew didn't throw a pick 6, and say TB scores only "7".
Our defense would have been #3 in points allowed at 12ppg.

this x infinity
He and Loomis or whoever needs to put their ego's aside and see the opportunity thats in front of this team. It's not their fault that they reached for a guy who would seemingly be our back that can consistently get the tough yards. Shite happens in the first round of the NFL draft and a large majority first rounders don't pan out. If they continue to feed this guy the rock it will lean on the side of Jim Haslett/Aaron Brooks or even a Les Miles/ JJ realtionship

I was speaking to a friend about this very thing. He is convinced that SP and Mickey Loomis have these closed door screaming matches where Loomis is giving Payton a mandate to give Ingram carries and Payton is furious about it.
I have to imagine Payton sees the writing on the wall with this chump...my belief:
his hand is being forced.
