#13- Eric Martin WR (1985-1993)
Drafted by the New Orleans Saints in the 7th round (179th overall) of the 1985 NFL Draft.
For the Saints he had 532 receptions for 7,854 yards and 48 touchdowns. At a time when we didn't really throw that much. He also made the Pro Bowl in 1988.
A good quote on Martin:
Martin played in 16 games as a rookie and never missed a game in nine seasons, starting 119 games.
He's currently tied for first in Saints history in receptions and is first overall in yards receiving. He's third in receiving touchdowns.

"The first thing that comes to my mind when I think about Eric Martin is the word 'accountability,'" former Saints quarterback Bobby Hebert said. "I knew I could count on him in the clutch. I knew first of all he was going to get open, and then he was going to catch the ball. People are intrigued by these combine workouts where instead of looking at a football player, they're looking at something else. Eric was a football player."

#9 Jahri Evans OG (2006 - Present)
Drafted by the New Orleans Saints in the 4th round (108th overall) of the 2006 NFL Draft.
In his seven years as a Saint, he has started every game at RG. (I didn't realize how consistent he was.) He is a 4 time Pro Bowler and 4 time First-Team All-Pro.
Evans graduating 10th in his high school class, and because of an injury which made him miss most of his Senior season, he was admitted to Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania on an academic scholarship, not an athletic scholarship.
On May 5, 2010, the Saints resigned Evans to a seven-year, $56.7 million contract that was reported to make Evans the highest-paid interior offensive lineman in NFL history at the time.
Evans graduated from Bloomsburg in May 2007 with a bachelor's degree in exercise science. In 2009 he established a full scholarship for out-of-state minority students enrolled in BU's Master of Science in clinical athletic training program. JE73 Foundation

#8 Marques Colston (2006-present)
Drafted by the New Orleans Saints in the 7th round (252nd overall) of the 2006 NFL Draft.
The Stats:
He has 532 receptions for 7,394 yards and 58 touchdowns. He's third in Saints history for yards receiving, tied for first in receptions and first overall in receiving touchdowns. All records he should shatter if he stays healthy. He's also second in Saint's history in yards receiving per game. Impressive!
Some interesting facts about Marques Colston:
He was the 4th to last selection in the draft and that was a supplemental compensatory pick.
His dad, James played in the CFL.
Colston tied for second in voting for Offensive Rookie of the Year, behind Tennessee Titans quarterback Vince Young, and with Jacksonville Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew.
On November 11, 2012, he tied Deuce McAllister's team record for total touchdowns with his 55th career touchdown. He now leads with 58 TDs.
Colston is one of the part-owners of his hometown Harrisburg Stampede of the American Indoor Football.
An old but good read on the Quite Storm. ESPN Article
Someone even wrote a children's book based on him. LINK

quote:
The book tells the story of a little boy named Marques who gets teased by an older kid. Young Marques' father teaches him how to be strong and respectful of others, no matter how close he gets to the top. The book's premise is based on real life lessons Marques Colston learned from his dad James, who passed away when he was still young. Harris says James Colston's influence on his son was so powerful, it inspired in him a desire to pass on those same lessons to his three kids.

#7 Vaughan Johnson (1986-1993)
Drafted by the New Orleans Saints in the 1st round (15th overall) of the 1984 NFL Supplemental Draft.
Has to be one of the meanest looking Saints players ever. Johnson was part of the feared Dome Patrol defense. As a Saint he had 12 sacks, 4 interceptions, 11 forced fumbles, 664 tackles and appeared in 4 Pro Bowls. He's 3rd overall in tackles in Saints history. In 2011, he was selected for the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame.

"I don't know if there was anybody who hit harder," said Jim Mora, the former Saints head coach. "But he hit with some impact. He combined that size and strength and speed, and when he hit somebody, they felt it."

shite. Goodell just put us on double super secret probation.

As a Saint he had 12 sacks
Seems like he had more. That sounds like his rookie season or something. I guess Pat and Rickey got most of the sacks

I was surprised about that as well. As far as the ILBers go, I think Mills was the heart of Dome Patrol and Johnson was the muscle.
