If Daniel leaves, I'm submitting my application for the position of "guy with backwards hat who anxiously nods as Brees explains how amazing he was on the previous drive". That is my fricking dream job.

If the saints lose Chase I wouldn't mind going after Colt McCoy. He was solid in college, and never had any talent in the NFL.

I concur!

ESPN's Adam Schefter expects free agent QB Chase Daniel to "draw interest," and believes he could challenge for a starting job in the "right spot."
Daniel's name has been coming up more and more in recent days, which could either be an indication of good work by his agent, or just how soft the quarterback market is. Daniel wasn't a hot commodity as a restricted free agent last year, but has seen his reputation grow as he's backed up Drew Brees the past three seasons. He's a long-shot to compete for a starting job.

This college football realignment crap is out of hand. Which conferences are the Saints looking at?

the thing is - noone has a true idea of what Chase can do until he is given a chance. he may be a decent QB, but until he is given a chance to be a reg starter - who really knows.

Well, out of that group, I'd definitely give Chase a bump for getting to sit behind Drew Brees. Getting to learn from a guy like that is only positive.

Eh, kinda hoped we could've kept him to see how he did after Brees left, but no biggie.

Browns and Raiders...the two places any player is least likely to succeed. I hope for his sake he can catch on elsewhere.
