@LarryHolder: #Cowboys LB Victor Butler left his visit with the #Saints without a contract, a source says. Butler will visit the #Browns on Monday.

There was zero reason to be overly confident

Not that I blame the guy . He will probably be around 30 for his next deal. Should get as much as he can.

I mean it's still possible to get him, right?

Why? Everyone, including sources close to the visit, said they would be surprised if he didn't sign. What makes you think indifferently?

Cause he was a cowboy so it was so likely??? Nobody knows what he's asking or what we willing to pay. If it was a slam dunk it would have been done days ago

I guess the familiarity with the scheme and coach made me believe this would be a done deal. The reports of the team being very interested as well, together I felt like this would've been a given.

Whatever Payton feels is the best decision works for me.

It was hyped as such a done deal I can understand some disappointment

Hopefully someone else is dumb enough to take him first.
