Holy shite the way the Bucs defenders bit on the Kamara decoy

They read on here that Drew had a noodle arm and could only check down

Watching that live, it felt like the ball was never going to come down and I was scared Trequan was going to lose track of where the boundary was

Two things on that play.
1. Brees' footwork was incredible. The way he slid away from the pressure with his eyes downfield was textbook.
2. Smith did a PHENOMENAL job of knowing where he was without even looking down. Notice his eyes never left the ball but he still knew to get his feet in.
Amazing play

That was an underrated play period. Drew said himself that he couldn't really see him because of the pressure but he put it out there for him. Though it felt like forever for it to come down it was a pretty pass right on the money.

I'm pretty sure that is the exact same "decoy" play used to help Brees break the all-time passing yardage record with that long TD pass on MNF to a wide-open Trequan Smith, only in that game both the safety & corner bit up to cover Kamara.

One thing nola.com posted about that I didnt notice is, Brees is falling down after he throws and Armstead catches him and picks him up. apparently he told Brees "I wanted you to see the TD"
