It's a bad fit to play him OLB in a 4-3, no pass coverage experience or overall play with his hand off the ground.
I gotcha. Didn't really watch much Georgia football this year. I was talking out of my arse. We could use a guy like him at DE. Of what I caught of UGA vs. South Carolina, he gets after the QB. I think he had a pretty good game against Auburn.

Houston will be interesting to see how the opinion of him evolves. If he proves stout enough for 3-4 edge setting I'd say he goes before #24. Those guys like Ware, Suggs, etc go for premium value.

quote:This would be great and I would welcome it but I still say we need a DE more than anything else. They completely took Will Smith out of every game last year with double teams because Brown didnt do shite. To get our pass rush right we need a DE like now.

I won't disagree with you. I mean how high did he rate Jimmy Clausen last year?
Any mock is questionable. The ones that jump out to me in this one is JJ Watt at #6. Then Cameron Jordan going at #17. Also if Kerrigan were available when we picked, IMO he would be the guy.
I kinda see where he is going with Robert Quinn falling down to #12. He sat out this year so obviously he will be effected there. I anticipate he will have a solid combine to keep him in the mix as a top 10 guy. After the combine everything changes as usual.

Also I can't help but think that Nick Fairley will be a bust. A JUCO transfer before his Auburn days. Didn't have a great season as a junior but damn he tore shite up this past year. There's something about those Williamson Lions. Thats where Tee Martin,Jamarcus Russell, and Nick Fairley went to high school. Martin and Russell had solid college careers but tuned out once they turned pro. Not saying Fairley will definitely be a bust but history isn't on his side.

Good write up! If you notice most of those guys that were drafted in the top rounds suck balls.

That's one of the best Kiper drafts I've seen. he gets a lotta flak but he has the 3rd best accuracy rate as a mocker over the past 5 years-
check that out LINK
I've been honing the prospect list down. For the Saints to have a surprise value player drop to them what we wanna be hoping for is a)more than 2 QBs go before #24. If 4 went that would be huge for pushing defensive talent down the board. The second like Kiper has there is 4 or more OTs going early. If both of those would happen we could have a real gift pick of someone like Clayborn, Jordan, or Ayers.
Out of who he left behind the Saints, Kerrigan or Heyward could possibly go earlier, maybe not as easily. Even more I could see a 3-4 team wanting Justin Houston (SD 18 KC 21) earlier.
I'm fine with Wilkerson. Whatever creates the most playmaking impact on the front of the D is my hope. Teamed with big Sed it could create kinda a Williams Wall-like effect... bigger, badder run stopping and middle pressure. Kinda reminds me of our O line. Average at best OTs but the best pair of Gs in the NFL.

Interesting. I've gotten used to him over the years. There was a time when I was just annoyed by him but McShay is currently locking that spot up in IMO.
As of right now I would say Paea or Ayers would be at the top of my first round wish list. Cameron Jordan and Wilkerson would be next. IMO Jordan will be gone at #24 but who knows?
