I'm thinking when it's all said and done, this is going to be another year where Brees gets absolutely robbed for the MVP award....however if this year turns out like the last time he got robbed of MVP, I think we'd all be just fine with that!

yea, but so were people like Deion Branch, Dexter Jackson, Santonio Holmes, Desmond Howard.

He can really become the best if he can lock up a season MVP and stop coming in second place all the damn time!

Redzone TD percentage=71%
opp 3rd down conversion=29%

I don't mind that this idiot thinks Atlanta is the best bet to beat the Packers. That's just his opinion. But the reasons he gave make him an idiot. He said the Falcons have a good TE in Gonzalez. Well Saints just happen to have best TE in football. He said Falcons have 3 good WR's. Well, Saints have 4 good WR's. They have 5 good WR's if you count Sproles. 6 if you count Thomas on screens. He said Falcons have a good running game. Well, Saints are 9th in rushing ypg and Falcons are 19th. Saints average 4.7 ypc, Falcons average 3.9 ypc. Here's the best part, he said Ryan is hot right now, lol. Guess Brees isn't hot enough. That show is a joke, and Skip Bayless isn't the only reason it's a joke. Pretty much everyone on there sucks.

I have no problem with Rogers beating out Brees for the MVP, but there is no way the Brady should be ahead of Brees. Not in schedule, not in stats. This is not a career award. It is about this season. The Brady love is stupid and old.

MOTHER OF GOD i just watched this segment i know i am a homer and honestly aaron rodgers should probably still be in the lead but the avoidance of even talking about brees during this segment was borderline pathetic. mangina and the black guy had the nerve to put brady as #1 that shite was as bad as sports talk gets

Keep watching. That had nothing on when Ryan Stewart gives his reasons for why the Falcons are the team to beat the Packers. The Saints have an advantage in every specific reason he gave for the Falcons.

A) Ryan Stewart has a talk radio show in Atlanta. This doesn't suprise me. It'd be like ESPN interviewing Bobby Hebert. Calm down.
B) The saints have a better O than the falcons but that's because they're playing unbelievable right now. Odds are this will fall down a bit in the playoffs as you face better D's. Also, the Falcons are playing better offensively over the last few games.

All that being said though, objectively - one area the Falcons are better at than the Saints, to me, is on D. It's debatable, barely, but overall the Falcons D is better than the Saints.

Also (and I didn't see the segment so I dunno), but did the question even involve the Saints? I.E. was it discussing a playoff scenario in which Atlanta would play GB before the Saints?

Example:
Atlanta somehow knocks off Dallas or NYG in RD1.
Atlanta travels to GB and knocks them off?

In short, are you getting are riled up about Saints vs. Falcons when it didn't even have shite to do with the Saints?

I beg to differ, I think the Saints offense is better, at any level that we are playing.

Oh agreed. I re-read my statement and phrased it poorly.

I meant to say that the ATL offense is playing better *than the ATL offense has played earlier in the season*. You're 100% correct, the NO offense is better to MUCH better than ATL offensively, at any point. I just meant that ATL O is better than they have been at any point in the season.

Seems like very year Brees tears it up, but the pundits make some excuse not to give it to him. This will probably make the 6th straight 2nd place finish for him. You'll hear more of the same "if it wasn't for the year ___ was having Brees would have the MVP handsdown."

2006 LaDainian Tomlinson
2007 Tom Brady
2008 Peyton Manning
2009 Peyton Manning
2010 Tom Brady
2011 Aaron Rodgers

You completely missed the point. First of all, the question wasn't specifically about the Falcons vs Packers. The question was about which team had the best shot to knock off the Packers. I don't care that he picked the Falcons. The point is, every specific reason he gave, the Saints actually have an advantage over the Falcons. If Bobby Hebert said the Saints are better than the Falcons because the Saints have better LB's, yes I would call him an idiot also. It's not his opinion that bothers me, it's his reasoning.

I get it though. You are a Falcons fan so you felt the need to jump all over my post even though you didn't understand what I said because you thought I was hating on the Falcons.

I was just going to respond normally, but I changed my mind. You call me out like I'm some kind of idiot who didn't understand what I was watching and hearing. Your statement I quoted sounds like you think I'm some mentally challenged child. I'm not a moron, but I can't say the same for you. Maybe you should know what's going on before you try calling someone out on something. You said yourself you didn't watch the segment. If that's the case, just some future advice for you, keep your mouth shut if you don't know the situation.

MVP does not mean best player in the league ...it mean most valuable to your team....

So then the discussion should not be just stats...I love drew and hos stats are epic. However you do have to have the argument who in the league is the most valuable to their team. Now, if there is a hiesman award fir The pros I think drew wins hands down...I think mvp should have a discussion and take into account more than just stats
