I'm admittedly painting with a broad brush, but it's a message board so frick it...
It's the age when people begin to fear that the world has passed them by so they are more prone to lashing out when their views are challenged.
It's an emotional intelligence thing, which is why I pinned our beloved WIKSF as either over 50 or under 25.

I actually think that a lot of men get more mature emotionally and are less likely to lash out.
Also, did you never read most of the epic game threads by WIKSF wherein he gave lots of clues to his age that do not equal his being over 50? I don't understand how any board regular could really think that WIKSF is over 50.
