Negotiating tactic. The Pelicans aren’t going to say “everything is shite! Completely eliminate LA from the conversation! Don’t worry about offering your best pick, we’ll take less because you have no competition!”

Magic Johnson is getting a pass for going all in and trading up to get Lonzo Ball, who he guaranteed would be a HOF player. He’s still young but it looks like Magic fricked up and gets a pass from media.
If AD becomes a Laker he becomes the next Kevin Love in Cleveland. Lakers win, LeBron is great. They lose its AD’s fault. Shaq is right, he should have stayed with the Pelicans and got the 245 mil contract. 245 mil in New Orleans buys a lot. In LA you get less money and 1/2 of it is taxes.
