I honestly haven't seen much from Rivers or Roberts that would make me say one should clearly be playing over the other. It seems as if Monty is giving each a fair chance to take the job. I expect Rivers to get the majority of the minutes over the next couple of games while Roberts goes back to the bench.

Rivers can't shoot or handle ball pressure.

Rivers really needed 2-3 years at Duke, I like his hustle but we have done little to help him or increase his value.

Rivers is epically awful offense. ShamelessPel seems way too inclined to ignore that.

There's a reason even people like MM are questioning what is going on in Monty's head. I disagree with him on most points, but he is normally very cautious when it comes to questioning our coach. There's box scores, and there's live looks. Rivers just fits better than Roberts out there. He's less of a sieve on defense and brings penetration to the second unit. If Roberts wasn't handling the ball, it wouldn't be such an issue, but if Monty insists that one of the 2 set up the offense, it's Rivers by a mile.
