Still can’t believe POR threw in Nance as part of that CJ trade. Never paid much attention to him in LA, CLE, or Portland but this dude is wise when he speaks and such a hard worker.
He summarizes NOLA perfectly in every interview. Hope we can hang onto him. He’s the backbone of a good team, and showed out in the playoffs when it mattered.

He makes it easy to try and move Jax with Nance being all in.

Nance is only going to get better. He was coming off of an injury and thrown into a new system. Just imagine how fluid he will be next season, for he has high basketball iq and loves to communicate on the floor to the rest of his teammates.

My confidence Jax makes the leap in the next couple years is low, but I'd still hold onto him unless it's part of some cant-miss trade or we end up with Chet(even then, not sure I just jettison Hayes).

We have to make a decision on Hayes after next season as he is going to be due an extension. Do we invest in him or move on?

Pretty much this. He doesn't have much trade value so he's probably more value for us to hold out hope on him, but if he's a piece that needs to be in a bigger deal, go for it.

He also gave decent regular season minutes, which is helpful.

The other thing, I think there's nearly a 100% chance Valenciunas isn't with us after his contract is up. So if Jax can play the 5(big question mark there) he could be Jval's replacement if he can give us decent production next season and show some more progression.

So excited. Obviously this is a young, talented team with a great mix of veterans; but it’s so awesome just how likable damn near everyone of these guys are. Really fired up for the next few years.
