Feel like you guys have been doing the build around one star thing for a while now to no avail. Meanwhile, most champions have a top 5 player playing alongside two other top 25 players. Warriors do even better than that right now. The role players you put around elite platers are literally a dime a dozen.

Tatum and the Grizz pick give you that best chance at having other elite pieces around Zion, IMO. Yeah, that pick could come in at 7 our 8 next year, but in terms of teams you want to bet against in 2021, Memphis is a clear favorite over far more capable and proven front offices in Dallas and Miami. And you can still tank for a year with absolutely no backlash or significant loss of revenue.

I mean, you'd have to really like Barrett to think otherwise, IMO. And the Clippers? Again, that's just asinine.

Last, not only does Boston have the best centerpiece, I'd argue pretty strongly that they also have the best secondary assets to offer as well.

Sounds like you are trying to convince yourself as a Celtics fan rather than being "informed" that it is 95% done as AD to Celtics.

Pesonally I like Tatum. However, the Celtics lack of decent draft picks has me concerned. The Grizzlies pick may be good or may be nothing (we have seen this with the golden Wolves pick in the CP3 deal). As such, I would be happy if Boston included Brown and the Memphis pick along with Smart and maybe Williams. At that point, I think it would be tough to beat that deal. However, to think that LAL, Knicks, Nuggets, Clipper and maybe another team or two are not in the game is premature.

I can agree with that. I think people are putting too much emphasis on what these team have today on the surface instead of what these team can do with their assets to turn it into what we need and/or want. A lot of these packages will change by draft night. It’s crazy to rule out any teams right now as no teams have really put out a package that’s too good to pass up. The more teams involved the better the chances of the team getting a slam dunk package.
