Pels Terminate 2-way for Charles Cooke

The Pels dropped Cooke from his two-way contract. Odd timing. Mike James is now the only two-way player.

Not sure what this is about. I really liked Cooke and would have bet on him getting more minutes than Frank Jackson next year. I wonder if Mike James on a 2 way means they want to rebalance and add a big. Oh wait, the deadline to add guys to 2way contracts has already passed...
Did they just cut him to save what would probably amount to less than $50k?

Yeah, I am perplexed as to the rationale here. I liked Cooke and it costs them practically nothing to keep him. The deadline to sign 2-way contracts was January 15th also, but I am unsure if you can replace a 2-way contract you waived after that date.

Yep, that clears things up. Waiving him at this point made no sense. Moving him to another G-League team is normal.

I'm guessing the part in quotes is from team sauces. The Greensboro Swarm probably want to feature a star player from Duke which is nearby.
