Just got an email that since the season is over, they will no longer carry Fox Sports regional channels, which one of them includes FSNO.

Sinclair, who bought the Fox Sport regionals, is working on a Direct To Consumer plan:

quote:

“There's a lot of work going on in DTC right now. It’s definitely going to be an important part of the future for the RSN, for tennis and also for broadcast. And it's too early right now to give specific guidance, but we are busy adding that feature to our new digital reboot which will come out next year. And it will be complementary to the MVPD product that we have today.” Christopher Ripley, Sinclair chief executive

No clue when it will get here or how much it will cost, but it has to happen with so much cord cutting.

I don't want to keep buying individual package plans. Fox Sports Regional will not be worth a standalone service. Outside of local basketball and baseball, they have shitty programming. YouTube and Sinclair need to

Exactly, as it stands now I'm paying more for standalone services than paying for cable.

Between Netflix (well cancelled now, fu Pedoflix), Hulu, YouTube TV, Hbo Max, etc etc etc. Its ridiculous and getting to the point where I'll just go back to illegal streaming everything

It's the world we're heading for. What was the last network TV show you watched regularly? We've begun to unbundle Entertainment and Sports. More and more Entertainment TV is coming from streaming only services like Netflix/Prime/Hulu.

Pretty soon all that will be left of value on traditional TV is live news and sports. Someone needs to find a way to make money with a reasonably priced sports only bundle.

Been doing this since 2010, don't understand why you'd pay for it.
