Better than any other SF on the roster.

Is Deng a typical SF?
Have You seen him playing/shooting recently?
He is a good vet and locker room presence.
Pels really dont have roster spots left.
And also dont forget that he MIGHT not want to come there because of Ferry...
Pels have 12 fully guaranteed contracts. With a lot of expirings.
And a goal to solve a SF problem at the deadline.
This is why they are willing to give a shot to Solomon and some young and hungry players (Williams', Bluiett, Green).
There is nothing to lose for Pels. Just wait.
1. to look what they have
2. to know which team will realize their corrected goals for the season.
Teams have time to fill out their roster at the start of regular season.
There will be many interesting players available then. Maybe much needed guard will be available then.
Keep your powder dry.
Pels can go into season with 12 guaranteed players and flexibility.
Lets say that J.Okafor and TWilliams will look fine. Kenrich will get a two-way.
Pels have a flexibility for uneven trades.
Heck - if Williams' and Okafor will be fine and there wont be any interesting trade options at the deadline - Pels can even cut Ajinca and have a room for couple of buyout playera...

No he’s not! He’s an older and way less athletic Solomon Hill. If his name wasn’t Luol Deng than no one would have mentioned him.
