For all of you wanting to shite on BI only, let’s remind all of you what actually happened in the last 3.5 minutes up 3.

- Zion turnover dribbling off his leg.
- Missed wide open Trey 3
BI offensive rebound and missed turnaround jumper.
- Zion doesn’t know what to do without the ball and runs away from the corner where CJ is passing. Turnover.
- BI misses shot in the paint after Zion gives ball up.
- Zion loses shoe on routine play, turns it over, decides to put shoe back on instead of getting back down two with 40 seconds left.
- Trey missed wide open 3, out of bounds Pels ball off rebound.
Almost get 5 second count on inbounds and luckily get easy JRE two.
JRE leaves Sengun wide open to try to get a steal, Zion guards no one and makes no attempt to do anything at half court while he watches his 4 teammates try to strum up a miracle steal.
Game over.

Let’s all blame BI for this loss b/c his two missed jumpers, but ignore Zion turning it over 3 times and Trey missing two wide open 3s.
Or we can blame Willie for playing Dyson too much, or Herb not enough even though Herb was very ineffective last night.

There enough blame to go around. It was a failure from top to bottom.

I got halfway through that before I realized this guys a BI Stan, the 2 “paint jumpers” were terrible fadeaway 20 footers. Both of our stars have LOW BASKETBALL IQ and are mentally weak. One of the 2 needs to be traded if not both. I’d prefer to keep Zion and move BI but wouldn’t be totally upset if the latter happens. Having both of them is taking away from Trey Murphy touches who will be the real star of this team in the future.

Wrong.
One was a turnaround from the right baseline.
The other was from 4’, basically at the rim.

And I’m not a BI Stan. But I do think he can be the #2 option on a championship team, Trey being #3.
What I don’t think is Zion can be the #1.

What I find ridiculous is all the blaming of BI for this loss b/c of his two shots when Zion had 3 fricking turnovers, and Trey missed 2 open 3’s, all in the last 3 minutes. We immediately had threads and posts on BI yet no one wants to blame the fat lazy arse coddled baby with the 3 turnovers, just the turnaround fadeaway from BI.

I can’t take anyone seriously who watched those last 3 minutes and still tries to tell me Zion is an elite offensive player.

Look I’m frustrated with Zion too and if we can get a decent package that helps this team get to the next level for him I’d do it, but let’s not act like the dude isn’t talented

It's not because of two of his shots. It's because Trey was wide open for a dunk on one and because no one else touched the ball on the other. It's groundhog day every game with him. When the game is close, he dribbles the air out of the ball and takes an awful shot or passes it with 2 seconds left on the clock.

Unfortunately, making shots is the absolute only thing he does well. He is a terrible defender made worse by lack of effort. He is not a bad passer but is awful in the pick and roll because he only looks for his own shot. He makes terrible entry passes and misses Jonas and Zion in great position 7-8 times a game.

I like him as a person, but it's clear he will never change the way he plays basketball. At this point, salary relief is enough of a reason to trade him.
