Pels leaked BI-WG squabble in the OKC series. Some on this board purport BI didn't want to run Borrego's offense. Poster ErikGorden summed it up well. Just doesn't hold water, not a big thing just poster dribble.

Where does it say that Borrego created an offense for BI to play point? If anything Borrego wants BI to shoot more 3s. Borrego offense is more quick tempo and heavy ball movement, something BI is the opposite of with his ISO and slow pace. Plus he rather you shoot a 3 than go for a layup. Mile Bridges even says Borrego struggles with slow pace.
I think if Borrego was offered to do lineups, he would play Matt Ryan and Hawkins more tbh. Also, Borrego having an offense with Murphy in the lineup will be much better than having an offense with BI.

I believe at media day it was reported that BI would be the facilitator in JB's offense. A couple of months into the season Zion questioned his role in the offense. A couple of weeks before the All-Star Break the offense shifted, centering around Zion at the point. BI gets injured a couple of week before the end of the season and Zion gets injured in the play-in. *Pels made no marked improvement in any of these iterations, they stayed consistently between a 4-8 seed.
This whole narrative about BI not being happy with JB's offense is conjecture at best in a feeble attempt to create a narrative about BI being a bad apple. BI's availability, as well as Zions, is fair game for change but playing 'Mean Girl Games' is typical internet drivel. A decent assessment of the season is the same as its' been the past 5 years 'injuries and poor roster construction'. Appears the roster construction 'team of wings' will get re-tooled but the team who brought in Favors, Adams, Val along with Temple, Sato, and Graham are still making decisions. We'll all see where this goes.
