Marcus did crash the boards tonight, but he did make some bonehead turnovers.

Who knows, he may have finished with 12 today, but hey let's let Ariza play the final few minutes instead. I mean, he DID let his man score a ton of points and he WAS 1/13 from the field.

fwiw, I love Marcus but the love he gets here is out of control. He's a good bench player but I don't think he's starting caliber. Neither is Marco however.

Well, it is TD so that come as no shock considering the majority of posters are also LSU fans.

People exaggerate "the love" he gets. He should be our number one player of the bench. But apparently thats giving to much love

dude. a guy here today said if Marcus started and played 20 minutes a game we'd average 100PPG. The love he gets on this board is out of control.

It's just the new strategy he is using for getting more PT. Suck on offense and shoot a low percentage (because thats what monty likes) but rebound and play good D. It works for Ariza, Willie Green and Jack

ok thats one idiot, but ive been told before im just an lsu homer because I think he should be first off the bench. I just think a couple morons give the "thornton should get more playing time" side a bad rep

I'd go as far as to say he COULD start of Marco but only because Marco is average too. I like that Marcus can get to the rim even if he doesn't finish all that well. I don't think saying he should be first off the bench is too off the wall.

So I guess you are a fan of playing two point guards (aometimes 3) to close out games. Last night it was Green, Jack and Paul. Tonight it was Jack and Green. Monty is too fricking stupid to have the best players on the court at the end of the game, and the team is paying for it in the loss column

He could very easily start for Marco but we need a scorer of the bench. But, at this rate, Ariza should not be in at the end. He is dreadful shooting the ball.

that has nothing to do with the expectations being out of control.

He's more productive than both Ariza and Bellinelli on both ends of the court.
