Opposing viewpoints are one thing. Your blatant flaming attempts are another.

I'm fine with opposing viewpoints. Hell, I pick us to lose pretty frequently because I know we're not the best team, but to act like you do is ridiculous. We're not the fricking Cavs.

Don't like the Hornets, never have. They are highly overrated by many on this board. If I see an opportunity for myself to make a post to set the record straight I'm not gonna hold off on it.

Why bother? I'm a fan of the game. The hornets are a new franchise to the area and a lot of their fans aren't very knowledgeable about the game. I don't dislike anybody here, if I can point out something that maybe somebody didn't know I don't see the harm in that.

There's a difference between pointing out something that somebody might not know (which, to my knowledge, you've never done here), and saying something like:

quote:

If the Rockets lose to the sorry Hornets tonight, I'm done for the year on Hornets talk. Un acceptable to lose to this sorry bunch.

That's going out of your way to be obnoxious and it adds nothing. You act as if the Hornets are last in the division. We're not. The Rockets are.

So basically you're just an a-hole. I guarantee you there are plenty more knowledgeable fans than you around here, especially since you think the Rockets are good. Most of the stuff you come out with seems to come straight from your arse.

Its not just me guy, just about any rankings that you'll see agree with me that the Rockets are the better team. 11 games into the season the Rockets were 8 games back of the Hornets. Since then Houston has been a good bit better than the Bees. Those are the facts. Sure the Bees were better 6 months ago. Today, they aren't.

This is a pretty objective game. You are graded on your season as a whole. They have had 6 months to be the better team and they couldn't do it. That's it. They can be more talented (though they obviously are not) but that doesn't help much when they are going home while the Hornets are in the playoffs.

Marc Stein disagrees

So does NBA.com

So does FoxSports

So does Hoopsworld

That's only because Boom hasn't had a chance to impart his vast basketball knowledge on them.

I'm more of a Hollinger and teamrankings.com fan myself. It's not just some slapdick looking at the standings and making a ranking. When one team is 14-6 over the last 20 and the other is 8-12 and the sorry team is ranked above the other you know the rankings are flawed. JMO.
