I think Dell sucks but he was 100% right not resigning Boogie. Players just don’t come back from an Achilles- the last notable guy to do it was Dominique many many years ago and he didn’t carry the same size as Boogie. He may get his ring next year but he’ll not see many minutes- this was a good move for NO.

I agree. I do wish we could have gotten something for him but all is well that ends well.

all in all, it was the best move regarding the risk. Boogie is a big man. Big men, especially, have proven to have tremendous issues coming back from this injury.

I think it's funny though. we've argued the opposite for so long (that medicine today is helping players come back from this injury). Now, we like "frick Boogie crippled arse".

Getting something for him would have required resigning him. His current attraction was to get him under contract for cheap to then see what'll happen with his comeback.

Boogie has put the pressure on himself. in a perfect world, he wins a championship after coming back and contribution the final 2-3 months (including playoffs) of the season. He wins a championship and then signs a max deal with someone else.

a lot has to happen for all that to come true including getting along with Green.
