haven't watched much of the Spurs this year, but as a fan, can you tell me how they've been playing so well this year? I know that DeRozan is playing very well and Alridge has been terrible, but I don't know much more than that.

Overachieving a bit so far. Big reason for that is the young core (Dejounte Murray, Keldon Johnson, Derrick White, Lonnie Walker IV) have been given much more leeway/minutes. Murray especially is really coming into his own this year as PG. Jakob Poeltl is limited on offense, but makes up for it on the defensive end in ways even prime Aldridge rarely did.

Overall, the team is young, and makes young mistakes, but competes fiercely and are rarely out of games. This second half of the season is g2b tough for them, though. 40 games in 68 nights or something like that thanks to the COVID layoff.

Family is great, thanks for asking! My son likes to go with me to the neighborhood bball court sometimes now, and my daughter is basically crawling now. Wife is still a gym rat (she's literally working out right now ).

Hope you/yours are well, too!

Wish our young core had the same success this season as yall have, but at least for both teams good days are ahead.

When I saw this on the schedule a week or so ago it seemed like tickets were nowhere to be found. I thought about driving from Houston.

But you don’t really think that kid is better than Zion right?

Take it up with @redditspurs I didn't start the tweetstorm.

I just hope KJ's Spurs find a way to get dubs every time they face Zion. Easier said than done!
