Nothing really substantive in that interview. Fletch kind of kept everything surface level.
Honestly, kind of annoyed me because Willie talks a good game in interviews (developing players, learning through mistakes) but doesn't follow up with that real time. He also towed the company line talking about Gayle's "leadership".

If Fletch wants to keep getting those interviews with Willie, he's going to have to keep those interviews generic. You're not getting anything is substance from him. Always been that way. Dumars is the only real insight into the team and he at least is open and upfront about it.

It's called "coachspeak" for a reason.
It would be cool, though, for a coach to go out in a blaze of glory and just tell the truth:
"Yeah, I can't believe that Dumars traded for that SOB Poole. Yeah, I coached him at Golden State, and the best thing I can say about him is that he deserved what Draymond gave him, the 'lil punk."
Something like that would indeed be fun, but don't hold your breath. Coaches aren't paid to tell the truth in interviews; they're paid to lie.
